Life has a way of presenting us with unexpected opportunities to impact others, even in the most unlikely of circumstances. Take a look at this testimony from one of our field workers that demonstrates faith, grief, and redemption.

“I met a couple who had just lost their baby at 3 days old during a ministry training trip. The husband was overseas working and couldn’t get back for the birth or even meet his child. As a result, he had told the pastor over the phone that he wasn’t going to follow God.

He was given a week’s leave to visit with his wife and attended church on the Sunday I was there. I knew nothing of his faith journey but told them a few things about grief and the need to pull together rather than apart over this terrible event. After prayer I spoke briefly with the husband. I was told a few days later his faith is restored, and he is urging his wife to attend church regularly. I was very moved that God could take me all the way here, just to be in the right place at the right time for this couple as they wrestled with grief and faith.”
