Testimonies from the field | South-East Asia
Prayer for World Outreach’s field personnel is vital! Especially during COVID-19.
We have received these beautiful encouragements from our faithful frontline workers in South-East Asia. We pray they may encourage you too! If you would like to partner with us, please see below for how to give to our COVID-19 Appeal.
“Despite the challenges of Covid, God has opened up new groups of young people to do our lessons. One of these groups is a hostel for boys who used to be from a youth detention centre. The hostel provides a place to live and helps them go to high school. One of the boys shared: “I asked God to help me stop smoking and He answered and helped me. I couldn’t stop by myself. Thanks to God so much. Now I pray for my future, my study, a job I can do, and for all my life.
I believe God will help me because He said He never leaves me. Pray for my study and for my family.” Another boy shares: “When I was in detention centre, I so wanted to go home. I asked God to help, though I thought it was impossible. Then God answered my prayer. Now I believe I’m a child of God.”
“We were lonely and asked God for more fellowship. So we asked for more friends, and He has provided more like-minded friends and we have been having regular fellowship with them. We thank Him! Local officials were demanding that we pay in order to get a free document. The Counsellor led us to insist on a receipt, and the official became angry. So we went away and asked and others asked too, and in the Lord’s kindness, we got the document free of charge!”
Praise the Lord for the amazing work happening all over the world!
We pray you will be encouraged by these stories! Will you join us in praying for those facing trials around the globe?
Would you partner with us in ministering to those in need throughout this global crisis?
Please consider giving to the COVID-19 Assistance Appeal to help reach more people in need!
Our missionaries need funds to help people within the communities they are endeavouring to reach. These funds will be used to purchase food, medicines and other basic necessities to help people struggling to get by.
