New Hope Ministries (NHM) exists to bring Dayak people, the local people of West Kalimantan, the Good News.

Many Dayaks live in remote villages where infrastructure and education opportunities are poor, and animism is still a way of life. Economic challenges abound. Heavy drinking and smoking, as well as poor diet and hard labour, cause health issues and early death. Many children are left neglected or orphaned.

For children like these, the “Wisma Damai Sejahtera” (the boarding home of New Hope Ministries in Sanggau) offers new hope. Here, about 120 girls and boys aged 6 to 21 years live in a nurturing, loving, healthy, and safe environment and are able to go to schools close by, which enables them to complete their schooling so that they can have a better future.

In everything we do, we share the Good News with them, so that all children can experience the love of God, grow in their own faith, and become equipped to pass it on to others later in life.

New Hope Ministries is also networking with a number of rural village pastors by encouraging and supporting them in their ministry.
