Testimony | Southeast Asia
Prayer for World Outreach’s field personnel is vital! Especially during COVID-19.
We have received these beautiful encouragements from one one of our faithful frontline workers in Southeast Asia. We pray they may encourage you too!
”In January, we baptised two people! Two ladies who have chosen to accept Jesus as their Saviour and to give their lives to Him. It was also a special moment for us to baptise them, as we witness their spiritual journey from the very beginning until their decision to get baptised. It is an honour to be their spiritual parents together. We can learn a lot from young Christians.
One week after we shared from Proverbs 16:3, some people started sharing stories about how they involved God in their work. One of them, an electrician, shared about a mistake that he made. His boss was angry at him for making that mistake. Before saying something back, the electrician decided to pray to God. He shared to us how his boss miraculously calmed down after this prayer.
Another person just started a new job as a cook. She had to prepare an expensive fish meal and prayed to God that she would not make any mistake. When the fish was prepared well, she joyously thanked God for that. Mature Christians often tend to think about what kind of ‘work’ it could be that God asks us to trust Him, but those young Christians immediately applied what they learned from Proverbs by involving God in everything they do. By setting aside their own pride, they do exactly what they have to do.”
We pray you will be encouraged by these stories, and will join us in praying for those facing trials around the globe.
