Nations 2 2021 | Meet our new Prayer Coordinator – Jen G

For the past 6 years, Jen has been living in Southeast Asia working with the local House of Prayer, counselling, freelance Christian writing, and leading marketplace intercession groups. Now most of that is begin left behind, so she can focus on supporting World Outreach’s ministry.

“I am very excited about taking on the privilege of coordinating prayer for World Outreach- to be able to connect the real-time needs of workers on the field, to intercessors all over the world is thrilling!

Why? Because prayer is what mobilises the answers from heaven. Prayer is the key to shift things, first in the heavenlies, and then on the earth. I like to imagine Heaven standing at attention waiting to help, fully equipped and ready, just waiting for our prayers to open the door. I look forward to seeing where the Lord leads us as we develop the area of prayer and spiritual growth in all our areas of ministry”

“God has been revealing to me that not all prayer is equal. Scripture teaches us that elements of faith (Mt 21:22), perseverance (Lk 18:7), righteousness (Jms 5:16), humility (2 Chron 7:14), alignment with his will (1 Jn 5:14-15), abiding (John 15:7), love (Ps 91:14) and agreement (Mt 18:19) all make a difference on the quality and impact of our prayers. Because prayer is relational, I would suggest it starts with the simple humble petition that we hear from the disciples, “Lord, teach us how to pray”. Praying well is an art. I believe it’s a lifelong journey of discovery and I’ve only scratched the surface!”
