Mozambique Cyclone Disaster Appeal
Over the past 2 months, Mozambique has been hit heavily by 2 cyclones. In March, Cyclone Idai caused widespread flooding in Central Mozambique, while Cyclone Kenneth flattened entire towns in Northern Mozambique in late April.
As a result of the cyclones, crops that were ready for the harvest were destroyed. With the next harvest only due in April next year, people across Central and Northern Mozambique face an uncertain future – this in a country where already 40% of children are malnourished.
Our missionaries are only able to help the people in Mozambique with your support.
While they have been able to provide emergency aid, they would like to help their local communities by rebuilding schools and churches, hand out Bibles to believers who have lost theirs, and provide seeds to local farmers to plant for the upcoming harvest.
We, therefore, appeal to you to prayerfully consider providing funds to the people in Mozambique.
Your generosity can make a difference!
USD20 will help provide food for a family for a week.
USD80 will buy roofing materials & provide an immediate home and shelter for a family of 6 people.
USD400 will provide medical supplies for cholera and malaria treatment for a community of 100 people.
USD600 will help 50 farmers with sufficient seeds to plant for the next harvest.
USD2000 will help rebuild 8-10 homes.
The rebuilding & rehabilitation efforts will take much time and your support will help us assist these families in need.
May the Lord bless you!
“If you pour yourself out for the hungry and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then shall your light rise in the darkness and your gloom be as the noonday” (Isaiah 58:10, ESV).
