Testimony from the field | Testimony of Church Planting & God’s Provision
Prayer for World Outreach’s field personnel is vital! Especially during COVID-19.
We have received this strong encouragement from one of our faithful frontline workers in South Africa. We pray it may encourage you too!
If you would like to partner with us, please see below for how to give to our COVID-19 Appeal.
”We recently discovered another larger group of migrant workers living on the other side of the mountain. So we reached out to them and planted a second church under a mango tree a couple of weeks back and we already have a new group of about 25 believers.
This means that the work-load has doubled up as we now have the pastoral responsibilities of two communities instead of only one. We rejoice though that the Lord is so active in bringing the “Lost” across our path.
Another reason for rejoicing is that I have also received a new convert to the faith, coming from the fatherless generation and I have begun a regular mentoring program as a surrogate “father”. His own father tried to stab him with a knife at age 16, causing him to run away and live on the streets.
I am also grateful for the opportunity to represent the heart of the Father. As Psalm 71:18 says, “So even to old age and grey hairs, O God, do not forsake me, until I proclaim Your might to another generation, Your power to all those to come.”
Again, huge rejoicing and thanks to those who prayed so faithfully. Our brother who was struck by lightning and almost died, has begun to heal incredibly well. Through treatment received, funded by you, our partners, he has regained the use of his limbs (the paralysis has completely left him), he has stopped bleeding from the kidneys and has regained his speech. He is also in the preparation phase to become an indigenous missionary, taking the Gospel to the Muslim tribes about 1000km to the north of where he is currently living. We are doing what we can to facilitate this transition, providing him with contacts of our own World Outreach missionaries who are already working in that area.”
We pray you will be encouraged by this testimony! Will you join us in praying for the unreached people around the globe?
Would you partner with us in ministering to those in need throughout this global crisis?
Please consider giving to the COVID-19 Assistance Appeal to help reach more people in need!
Our missionaries need funds to help people within the communities they are endeavouring to reach. These funds will be used to purchase food, medicines and other basic necessities to help people struggling to get by.
