The “S” Word
PEOPLE SOMETIMES WORRY that single missionaries get lonely, but who can be lonely in Africa? There is such a sense of community here, and for the single person, that means adventures, socialising and opportunities for discipleship. I encourage anyone waiting till they are married to go on the mission field to wait no longer. Going as a single person does not mean resigning yourself to singlehood. It means adventures and opportunities for God to grow you and use you in ways unique for the single person. What are you waiting for?
Angela works in Nairobi, Kenya and her vision is to see Kenyan Christians discipled and know their identities in Christ.
Empowering women through skills training is one way Angela sees people discipled. Angela trains women in jewellery making which helps women to generate an income and provide for their families. Along with the jewellery making, the women spend time in Bible studies and discipleship courses.
