Providing for Those in Need During COVID-19

Our frontline worker’s ministries may look slightly different during this time, but they have been presented with some amazing opportunities to show God’s love to those in need during the COVID-19 crisis.

Be encouraged by this testimony from one of our faithful workers in South Asia:

“The COVID-19 infection is growing fast, at an exponential rate in here in South Asia. Despite the necessary measures adopted by the state and central government to curb the spread of COVID-19, there is no respite as such. The national spread on a daily basis is very scary and alarming.

The effect on the community at large is painful and heart breaking. This has a profound impact on every class of society but the most affected are the poor.

In response to this pandemic, with the help and support of World Outreach, I have been able to reach another 50 families in my community. They don’t know about the Lord Jesus Christ, and I have been able to  I use this time of crisis as an opportunity to be a witness to these people.

As I was handing over an assistance package, a man in our community, who is a non-believer expressed, ‘… you came to us and gave this package, we felt so important and you touched our heart. We are so grateful to you. You have shown care and love to us. My family is thankful to the giver.’

I am very grateful to World Outreach for giving me this opportunity to serve these needy families. It’s really a joy to serve them. So far you have helped me reach 200 non-Christian families from my community.”

Please consider giving to the COVID-19 Assistance Appeal to help reach more people in need!

Our missionaries need funds to help people within the communities they’re endeavouring to reach. These funds will be used to purchase food, medicines and other basic necessities to help people struggling to get by.
