ONE OF OUR INTERNS went out with a local worker for a walk on the beach and for language practice. They met a lady with a swollen leg. They prayed for her. As they prayed, another woman stood nearby listening. When they were done, she invited them all back to her village, and she took them around the village so that they could pray for many others.
Four days in a row she invited them, and four days in a row, they went back. Each day, people received prayer and heard about Jesus. They continue to be welcome there, and plan to return, believing that the Lord will use that fishing village to fish for many men.
During a WOI church planting training, this same worker and another intern went out one afternoon and met a woman whom they shared the Gospel with. She repented. The following day they returned to baptise her in the ocean. The waves were very rough so they prayed and the sea calmed. They baptised her and have continued to follow up daily with her. She is now sharing with her husband, who is open.
Jack and Asha live in South East Asia. They are making disciples.
