Ekballō Trip to Mozambique
23 June – 04 July 2018
What will the trip be like? It is a 2-3 day drive (each way) into the rural regions of central/northern Moçambique, over some of the worst roads ever imaginable. Just south of the Zambezi River we turn off the main highway and then drive into the villages situated throughout the floodplain of the river. Accommodation will be in tents, sleeping on the ground. Mosquitos and heat will be constant companions throughout the time away. You will be exposed to a people whose lives are controlled by fear and witchcraft.
As English/Afrikaans speakers communication with the local Ma-Senna/ Portuguese speakers will be extremely difficult. You will be exposed to a “Frontier Mission Simulation” as we come, to simply be Jesus in this remote location. You will, however, most certainly not be alone and we shall provide you with a small group of local Christian brothers who will do everything possible to ensure that you have a truly awesome experience of what it feels like to go into those places beyond your usual comfort zone.
Why go? It is our hope that after a trip such as this people will return home with a greatly increased awareness of the seriousness and magnitude of the task of reaching LRP’s and just how important it is to mobilize Christians toward a longterm work of going to the Nations.
Cost: R 5000 ZAR per person (excluding visa, airport pickup).
